Asociación de Caficultores Miguelenses Unidos, or 'ACMI' is a small association of coffee producers founded in 2011, in order to improve the quality of traditional coffee cultivation and the livelihoods of smallholder producers in the subregion of San Miguel Ixtahuacán, San Marcos. Through collective organization and education, the smallholder producers of ACMI hope to achieve outstanding quality coffees fetching good prices.

This is our first year working with ACMI, and when their coffees graced our cupping tables this spring we were impressed. Organic lots don't often stand out on tables full of micro-lots. IXTAHUACÁN showcased big fragrances, bright clementine, structure and creaminess throughout. It's no surprise really. The municipality of San Miguel Ixtahuacán sits above 2000 MASL in the high, volcanic mountains of north-central San Marcos, northwest of Sipacapa. This year, the consistent rains in this subregion made for coffees with excellent fruit maturity and sophisticated acidity.

We've teamed up with Memphis' own Blue Note Bourbon for a brand new coffee experience. We carefully age specialty-grade green coffee in Blue Note's freshly emptied barrels to soak up the delicious "Devil's cut" then roast it to perfection. It's the perfect coffee for bourbon lovers.
